*Midwife (m/f) Nurse (m/f) or (Tropical) Doctor (m/f)*
Christian Hospital | Passe Catabois, Northwest Haiti
The Hulp Haïti Driel Foundation in the Netherlands is looking for a midwife, nurse, or (tropical) doctor for the Christian hospital in Passe Catabois (NW Haiti). The mission hospital provides healthcare to a large and vulnerable population and is based on the principle that even the poorest should have access to good healthcare.
Following the departure of a doctor, we are expanding the medical team to ensure continuity of care.
*Position*
• Working independently within a Dutch-Haitian team
• Providing general medical, nursing, or midwifery care
• Collaborating with and supervising local staff
• Contributing to the further development of healthcare in the region
*Profile*
• Registered nurse, midwife, or physician (BIG-registered)
• Flexible, socially skilled, and empathetic
• Willing to work and live in a different cultural context
• Christian or willing to work within the Christian vision and working methods of the hospital.
• Available for at least 6 months
An induction period focusing on language (Haitian Creole) and local medical conditions is part of the start.
