This little girl (5) came all the way from Gonaives. She has been sick since January 2022. Her mother went everywhere to find a treatment for her daughter.
They came to Passe Catabois with the idea to have surgery today. The tumor in her neck is big and solid. Surgery will harm her.
I hope and suspect that this is a TB gland. After two weeks of treatment we will know more.
After 2 weeks I called the mother. The tumor is shrinking! So it really looks like tuberculosis.
N.B. 1 month later her glands are gone...
Dit meisje (5) kwam helemaal uit Gonaives. Ze heeft een grote solide tumor in haar hals sinds januari 2022.
Haar moeder is al bij vele ziekenhuizen geweest, maar hebben nog geen genezing gevonden.
Vandaag kwamen ze naar Passe Catabois in de hoop vandaag geopereerd te worden. Het lijkt op TB (HIV-test is negatief) en ik hoop dat we na 2 weken behandeling met medicijnen al een verandering kunnen zien.
Een maand later is de tumor weg...
