Grandmothers - Grootmoeders
Without the grandmothers most of the children in Haiti will be lost.
The mother goes back to school or is trying to get work elsewhere or meets another man who then needs a new child that is his own.
Often the child will be given to the grandmother even though she is poor and has hardly any means to raise a child.
But they are trying. They are trying so hard to be able to raise the child.

Zonder de grootmoeders zouden veel kinderen in Haiti verloren zijn.
Moeder gaat vaak terug naar school of zoekt werk elders of ontmoet een nieuwe man die een eigen kind met haar wilt.
Vaak zijn de grootmoeders arm en hebben absoluut niet de middelen om een kind op te voeden. Maar ze gaan ervoor. Met man en macht proberen ze het kind groot te brengen.
